As winner of the Mattia Battistini Opera Contest Gianluca Zampieri started his international career performing in major opera houses in Italy (e.g. Bologna, Venezia, Genova, Roma, Palermo, Catania, Torino) and in foreign countries (e.g. Z\u00fcrich, Frankfurt, Bonn, Karlsruhe, Budapest, Prag, Lima, Monte-Carlo, Shangai, Taipei).<\/p>\n

His versatility he demonstrated in debuting more than 54 main roles of italian, german, czech, russian, english and french repertoire and is singing nowerdays mainly the italian spinto repertoire<\/strong>, the german Heldentenor Fach<\/strong> and as a specialist for czech repertoire<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

OTELLO<\/span>\u00a0he performed in many productions worldwide (Luglio Trapanese, Bratislava, Cordoba, Medellin, Astrakhan, National Moravian Opera and in next December 2018 in Craiova). In 2013 he was invited by\u00a0K. Penderecki\u00a0to sing Verdi\u2019s Requiem at the Beethoven Festival in Warszaw.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Also\u00a0CANIO<\/span>\u00a0(I Pagliacci) he sang several times and 2015 at the Massa Marittima Festival, Europa Musica production in 2016 and Leoncavallo Festival in 2017. Furthermore\u00a0ERNANI<\/span>\u00a0in Vilnius or\u00a0RADAMES<\/span>\u00a0(Aida) and\u00a0MANRICO<\/span>\u00a0(Il Trovatore) at the\u00a0State Opera Prague\u00a0(to both houses he returned in several seasons).<\/p>\n

In november 2018 he will perform Andrea Ch\u00e9nier<\/span> in Catania.<\/p>\n

As Heldentenor he debuted 2014 Wagner\u2019s\u00a0SIEGFRIED<\/span>\u00a0(Siegfried) in\u00a0Osaka, performed the same role 2015 in\u00a0Shangai\u00a0and will do again 2016 at the\u00a0Tiroler Festspiele Erl. Wagner\u2019s\u00a0TRISTAN<\/span>\u00a0he sang 2015 at the\u00a0Poly Theatre\u00a0Peking\u00a0(first time Tristan and Isolde in China\u2019s history) and again in Erl.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As a frequent guest he already sang there\u00a0SIEGFRIED<\/span> (Die G\u00f6tterd\u00e4mmerung)\u00a0and\u00a0TANNH\u00c4USER<\/span>\u00a0as well as\u00a0GUNTRAM<\/span>\u00a0from R. Strauss.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He sung BACCHUS<\/span> (Ariadne auf Naxos) in Bratislava.<\/p>\n

He appeared in 2018 in the new production of Parsifal<\/span> in Opera Bastille (Erste Graalsritter) and in may 2019 he will perform in the world premiere of \u201cLes Bienveillantes<\/span>\u201d by Parra in Antwerpen, directed by Calixto Bieito.<\/p>\n

As a Slavic repertoire specialist he sung the role of\u00a0STEVA<\/span>\u00a0(Jenufa) at the\u00a0Tokyo National Opera\u00a0in 2016, Laca (Jenufa) in Mexico City 2012, National Moravian Opera and Brno. He was Albert Gregor<\/span> (The case Makropulos) in Prague National Theatre in 2011. Rusalka<\/span> (Princ) he sung also in Prague and in Rome Opera. He is actually performing the role of T\u00ecchon<\/span> in the Robert Carsen\u2019s production of Kata<\/span> Kabanova in Brno, where he is also scheduled as HERMAN<\/span> in Tchaikovsky\u2019s \u201cPique Dame\u201d.<\/p>\n

Mr. Zampieri received various awards:<\/h4>\n

He won the \u201eLibusek Prize of the Tzchech Press Association\u201c<\/strong> for his interpretation of LACA<\/span> in Janacek\u2019s Jenufa at the National Opera Prague.<\/p>\n

In 2007 for his performance of Alfanos CYRANO DE BERGERAC<\/span> (coproduced by Baden State Opera Karlsruhe<\/strong> and NDM Ostrava) he won the \u201eThalia Award\u201c in Prague<\/strong> \u2013 the major czech artistic award.<\/p>\n

In 2010 he was nominated for the \u201eOpera Oscar\u201c<\/strong> by the german opera magazine Opernwelt<\/strong> for his interpretation of Boito\u2019s NERONE<\/span> in a successful production of the Antik Festival Trier<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
